Working with CouncÌls Saving Time And Money
FCIS will work with Councils looking to effectively manage their private landlord properties that so doing will enable them to save money.
All councils today are now using the deposit bond scheme to safeguard private landlords and tenants. Properties sourced from private landlords are provided with a bond or guarantee by the Council, which acts in a similar way as a deposit. At the end of the tenancy, the landlord may claim against this bond.
THIS IS WHAT WE DO
FCIS will visit the property at the start of the tenancy, we will complete a full inventory and send a copy to the council. The council will provide the tenant and landlord with a copy of this report. At the end of the tenancy FCIS will return to the property and complete a Check-Out report. The Check-Out report will contain recommendations against any differences compared to the condition at the start of the tenancy.
Being independent of the council and the landlord, we can provide an unbiased service, that will enable landlords to make claims against the bond where this is appropriate, and also enable the council to withhold parts or all of the bond where no claim is to be made.
Whenever there is a disagreement between the council and landlord regarding amounts of bond that can be claimed we are there as intermediaries to help the process come to a fair conclusion.
